Why SOAR Began
Our Story
SOAR STEM Schools is founded by Osman Rashid, a Pakistani-American entrepreneur and Silicon Valley–based business leader known for founding and scaling multiple ventures across education, enterprise software, and consumer technology. With nearly 30 years of innovation and industry leadership, he is recognized globally as a pioneer in education technology and a visionary in transforming how students learn.
An electrical engineer by training and a lifelong problem-solver, Osman has spent decades at the forefront of EdTech, building platforms that have impacted millions of learners worldwide. His deep engagement with Pakistan’s education ecosystem revealed a critical gap: the urgent need for a future-ready, concept-driven, world-class learning model that could truly prepare children for the complexity of the modern world.
This insight led to the creation of SOAR STEM Schools (S3 - 2019) - Pakistan’s first purpose-built, concept-based STEM school system designed to cultivate curiosity, creativity, and cognitive agility in young learners.
In every SOAR classroom, his vision is clear: Students don’t just learn - they innovate, question, experiment, and create the future.
