Digital Literacy Program
Digital Literacy Programme
We integrate technology into classroom activities and the curriculum to enrich a meaningful 21st-century learning experience. In today's world, technology has permeated all aspects of our lives. We, at SOAR, focus on developing students’ critical thinking skills, creating an awareness of the necessary standards of behaviour expected in online environments, and developing an understanding of the shared social issues created by digital technologies.
Digital Tools
Our digital apps have completely transformed how we are imparting education to our students. We aim to empower our learners to augment their understanding in a variety of ways. It is not only interesting but also provides access to a myriad of topics which enhances not only comprehension but also critical thinking skills.

Technology in the classrooms
-
Google Classroom is an important tool for communication at SOAR. It allows the teachers to set assignments, mark, and return graded papers. Students follow google classroom for daily schedule, and announcements, as a digital diary, to work collaboratively with their peers, submit assignments and receive feedback.
-
Tablets on Wheels allow teachers to implement differentiation throughout instruction. Students can work at their own pace during assignments and teachers have the opportunity for one-on-one instruction.
-
Wireless and wired internet are available everywhere on campus for students and teachers. ICT is integrated into every class through the use of online textbooks, Google Classroom, and Google Apps for Education.
-
Gamification is used in the classroom to foster fun, engaging learning through games. Through videos, simulations, computer games, and quizzes, fun lessons are created that promote active learning.

Robotics
At S3, Robotics is taught as a core subject from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our unique curriculum derived from the standards of technology and engineering literacy offers project-based learning opportunities which foster academic achievement and expose students to various STEM fields.
Our customised robotic kits and specially designed robotic journals allow students to discover deep connections between Robotics and other disciplines such as Computer Science, Artificial intelligence, and Mechatronics.
The robotics lab is equipped with collaborative spaces, design centres, and independent workstations that open up dozens of opportunities for students to build innovative projects with sustainable solutions. Makerspaces allow students to be creative and innovative through hands-on experimentation to solve real-world problems.
Robotic competitions and exhibitions are a regular feature of the school. Students develop important skills through these challenges such as critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and perseverance.
